Lehigh Valley bridal portraits

Lehigh Valley bridal portraits ~ with Niki

Niki and Brian had their wedding on May of 2016.  She was pressed for time and we really didn’t have a window to get more images. At the time we figured we would go back to Bear Creek on their anniversary and get more images, since she is our daughter =) But the calendar has been filling up with weddings and Mitzvahs so we had to put that idea on hold. I thought I had better get some photos before she couldn’t fit in her dress any longer due to family expansion ideas =) so with little Kaylie and  Brian we put together some images for her in studio. We will still do the Bear Creek images but at a later date. We have 3 bookings at Bear Creek so far so maybe we will stay overnight after one of them and get images the next day. Considering we were in a slight hurry and they had little kaylie and she had pictures too, we were able to come up with a few. Also we didn’t have the luxury of a hair and makeup person. I think she did well 😉

Stroudsmoor Wedding Photographer ~ Heather & Scott

As most all brides do I’m sure Heathers Accu weather map app must of been opened at least once a day. It’s always a scary thing when it shows bad weather surrounding your wedding day…fourteen days ahead. =) She was prepared though and provided shawls for the girls. Much better than having to provide umbrellas. What was at first a chilly breezy day sure warmed up by the time their vows were spoken. The venue was at the Ridgecrest facility and the sun warmed up the Crestview Chapel overlooking the Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge nicely. As the sun set guests that ventured outside were warmed by the outside fireplace. Inside there wasn’t any need for heat as the party was heating up Ridgecrest. Congratulations to Heather and Scott. We wish them nothing but the best in life. =)

The Architects Golf Club Wedding Photographer ~ Meghan & Scott

We were fortunate enough to, again, be referred to another awesome couple, Meghan and Scott (thanks Kelly). The way the couple interacted during our first meeting and then especially during their engagement session, I just knew that we would have a wonderful time at the wedding. The wedding ran just as smooth as the engagement session except Scott’s nerves were a little more apparent just  before walking down the aisle. Meghan was as calm as could be, if she was nervous she sure didn’t show it. September 24th was a bright sunny day with just a slight breeze to keep you cool.

The Architects Golf Club was in pristine condition for an outside wedding with beautiful fall flowers and a quiet setting. Meghan’s makeup was applied by Ryan Rivera from Stephanie’s Village Salon  and Laura Gonzalez from Hair Unique did a wonderful job doing Meghan’s hair along with her mom, Grace. The flowers were designed by Rose & Radish  ~and  Four Seasons from Whitehouse Station, NJ. made the center pieces.  Fantasy Production DJ’s  had the party on their feet all night. Judging by the images it sure does look like both families and their friends had one heck of a good party. We are so happy for Meghan and Scott, they just click with one another. That’s what I call loving life. I felt especially blessed and honored because I grew up with quite a few of the family members and they trusted us to capture a special time in their lives. We may be more forward in years but it felt just like being back in Whitehouse Station with the gang.

Here are just a few of my favorites.

When I met with Meghan and Scott to discuss their wedding, we also talked about their engagement session. Why we do it, where to do it, and when. Usually the girls get excited about it and the guys…well, not so much =) So we get into why we feel that engagement sessions are important. Scott admitted the day of, he likes looking at pictures, just not being in them (don’t worry Scott, most guys say that). The location was perfect – at their own home. It fit their life and love for each other. As I was editing the images I could see and feel the connection between the two and the natural genuine expressions of love and laughter. Just driving to and from their property nestled into the side of a mountain, on a long dirt road, you can’t go fast at all, you have to drive real slow, take in the scenery, let your mind wander and appreciate the beautiful simple things in life. Meghan and Scott were great. As we walked the property for ideas they were open to everything I suggested and yeah, Scott got the picture he wanted in the barn they built. In the end we had fun and I believe, come their wedding day, they will know us better and not feel uncomfortable about pictures on such a special day. Hell, we’ll be just like part of the family. =)

Bear Creek Mountain Wedding ~ Resort Photographers

May 20, 2016 – It was a picture perfect day for Niki and Brian to have their wedding.
Although, this time, along with being part of the photography team, we were also the parents of the Bride.
Many had asked how we were going to do it, but with the help of Janoski Photography, we teamed up to get it done. We also asked Katrina Sorrentino and her sister Kristen to tackle the video work. We have worked at Bear Creek Mountain Resort before and Niki just loves it there. Therese from Bear Creek was our sales manager and event coordinator. She was the best! The other staff during rehearsal dinner and the wedding were outstanding. Bob and his assistant, Bob from Fantasy DJ Production, as always, did a fantastic job. The day started off with Ronald Corales from Gentlemens Barber Shop  cleaning up Brian and the groomsmen with a shave and cut. The girls were taken care of by  Alisha Nycole Artistry and hair by Brittney Conrad. Nicole Heimsoth had worked our Party Photo Draw Booth before and her personality makes her the perfect fit for the job.

Time is so crucial during a wedding. Since Niki opted out of having a first look this made the time for photography even more pressured. Editing the images I noted that the timeline was backed up one full hour. Dad’s first look that was to happen at 3pm, but Niki was still getting in her dress at 3:50 pm . Even the best made plans can have a glitch. Through the domino effect, any chance of getting some of the pre-ceremony shots we planned were gone. After the ceremony when we hopped in the cart that Therese was kind enough to drive us around in, I looked down at my camera and asked her how much time we had – she said “oh 10-15 minutes”. HAHA, that’s when you throw everything out the window and do the best you can (which we did).

It was a great night, but, boy it went by soooo fast. So, any planned shots we missed getting, we are already planning to “re-do” at the one year anniversary at Bear Creek. Sounds like a good excuse to go back =)
