Lehigh Valley Family lifestyle photography
With the Burd family In Easton Pennsylvania. A fall family session mixed with lifestyle.
We were fortunate enough to, again, be referred to another awesome couple, Meghan and Scott (thanks Kelly). The way the couple interacted during our first meeting and then especially during their engagement session, I just knew that we would have a wonderful time at the wedding. The wedding ran just as smooth as the engagement session except Scott’s nerves were a little more apparent just before walking down the aisle. Meghan was as calm as could be, if she was nervous she sure didn’t show it. September 24th was a bright sunny day with just a slight breeze to keep you cool.
The Architects Golf Club was in pristine condition for an outside wedding with beautiful fall flowers and a quiet setting. Meghan’s makeup was applied by Ryan Rivera from Stephanie’s Village Salon and Laura Gonzalez from Hair Unique did a wonderful job doing Meghan’s hair along with her mom, Grace. The flowers were designed by Rose & Radish ~and Four Seasons from Whitehouse Station, NJ. made the center pieces. Fantasy Production DJ’s had the party on their feet all night. Judging by the images it sure does look like both families and their friends had one heck of a good party. We are so happy for Meghan and Scott, they just click with one another. That’s what I call loving life. I felt especially blessed and honored because I grew up with quite a few of the family members and they trusted us to capture a special time in their lives. We may be more forward in years but it felt just like being back in Whitehouse Station with the gang.
Here are just a few of my favorites.
It’s always nice when a client contacts me and states that we come highly recommended. We love doing our “pre-mitzvah” sessions to document such an important time in the teenagers life. We are able to capture a pivotal period in their young adulthood and then they can look back and see what their interests and hobbies were. Leyna loves to swim and from what I hear, she is very good at it. Maybe she will be a future Olympian. Leyna’s Bat Mitzvah was at Congregation Keneseth Israel in Allentown, PA and the pre-session photos were taken at Camp JCC in Center Valley, PA.
Hear are just a few of my favorites from her day.
A few weekends ago we had the pleasure of capturing Brittany and Matt’s engagement photos. Brittany’s mom had mentioned to me that the couple enjoyed going to car shows together. Being a car buff myself and having friends that own some hot rods, I thought that I could turn the photoshoot into something different, if I could pull it off. My buds Jarrod and Adam came through for me without hesitation, even after having to reschedule due to bad weather. Between both cars there was well over 1000hp at the wheels. So, we made this a special session. A little park scenery, a little city and some hot rods. Brittany and Matt were awesome -fun, animated, flexible and patient. It was a long day with a few outfit changes and locations, not to mention it was in the high 90’s. We are excited to capture their wedding next year with two great families and friends having a celebration.
Here is a sample of some favorites of mine from their session.
When I met with Meghan and Scott to discuss their wedding, we also talked about their engagement session. Why we do it, where to do it, and when. Usually the girls get excited about it and the guys…well, not so much =) So we get into why we feel that engagement sessions are important. Scott admitted the day of, he likes looking at pictures, just not being in them (don’t worry Scott, most guys say that). The location was perfect – at their own home. It fit their life and love for each other. As I was editing the images I could see and feel the connection between the two and the natural genuine expressions of love and laughter. Just driving to and from their property nestled into the side of a mountain, on a long dirt road, you can’t go fast at all, you have to drive real slow, take in the scenery, let your mind wander and appreciate the beautiful simple things in life. Meghan and Scott were great. As we walked the property for ideas they were open to everything I suggested and yeah, Scott got the picture he wanted in the barn they built. In the end we had fun and I believe, come their wedding day, they will know us better and not feel uncomfortable about pictures on such a special day. Hell, we’ll be just like part of the family. =)
