The Sun that is, everyday. I don’t know who’s quote it is, but it must be someones. I try to remind myself of this everyday. Sure there are days that it’s hidden behind grey clouds..but it’s still there! Just as in life, sometimes things happen, so I remind myself to look past life’s grey clouds and find the sun. Growing up I always liked the Beatles song “Here comes the sun” it seemed so simple and uplifting. Things happen in peoples life’s, not just mine, and they can get all cluttered and hectic. So when opportunities come along to spend time with my kids, I try not to let them slip by. This past weekend was one of those moments. My oldest daughter, Catrina, is handicapped and everyday shes with us is a blessing. Her mother has friends that are into aviation. Hot air balloons and airplanes. They are exposing her little by little to the hot air balloons with the intention of getting her up in the air one day. Just creating and checking off things on a bucket list. It was a simple day and a gathering of friends and strangers…..but so worth it!
So halfway into this I stopped. I just walked away from the computer an hour ago just to take a ride with Catrina. Nothing big….just a simple ride. Turned on the air and just went Sunday driving as some would say. She sees a beautiful red corvette. She doesn’t know it’s a corvette, just a pretty red car. She says ” dad, when I get big I’m gonna drive a red car like that” =)
Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo Here comes the sun, and I say It’s alright…..
