Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer ~ Amanda & Bryan
Bussiere/Sweney Wedding – Chester County, PA
My daughter Niki is best friends with the bride, Amanda. Both girls were able to have a special part in each other’s wedding as the Maid/Matron of Honor.
When Amanda and Bryan approached me to photograph their wedding, it felt only natural to be there for the big day, whether as a guest or as the photographer. But being the photographers meant we really get to be a part of their day. Normally, a wedding at the end of August in Pennsylvania would be stifling hot and humidity would be at an all time high; however, the wedding weekend was beautiful with sunny skies and a temperature in the mid 70’s – they really lucked out!
DA Visions was invited out for the rehearsal dinner at Brickside Grille where the two families, along with the bridal party, had time to unwind, have some drinks and share in lots of laughter with the bride and groom.
The morning of the wedding, the girls headed off at 8:00 am to Springton Manor Farms, the venue of the big day, to begin hair and make-up. The groomsman and Father of the Bride/Groom were able to sit back and relax until later in the afternoon before heading to the farm to get themselves ready. After the two “first looks” with Amanda and her father, as well as Bryan’s first peek with his mom, it was time for everyone to line up and take their places under the Linden tree’s extensive branches and await Amanda’s entrance. Amanda’s walk down the aisle was a long grassy one, in wedge heels no less, but it went perfect as her soon-to-be husband waited at the bottom to take her hand in marriage. The ceremony went on seamlessly as the two read their own written vows to one another and then becoming Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Sweney. Once the ceremony was done, we took shots of both families with the new husband and wife and then took them away in the golf cart to capture their love on the beautiful farm grounds. This is where timelines are notoriously unforgiving. After the formals we had about 30 minutes to get creative. The Venues cart driver, Harold, whisked the newlyweds Melissa, Brian and me around the huge farm. Having been there a few weeks prior to scope out the venue and get ideas paid off. We got beautiful images and got them back to cocktail hour just in time.
The reception was tented with hanging bulb lights which created the perfect atmosphere for their guests to dance the night away with DJ’S Paul and Kevin with Silversound DJ’S and use the Party Photodraw booth and snap pictures with the bride and groom before the night came to an end, as it always does, and then everyone was bused back to the hotel. At this point, the cleanup begins for DA Visions – putting all of the camera gear away, breaking down the Photo Booth and packing up the car and truck to head back for a nightcap. Although the wedding has to end, this is when DA Visions needs to continue… Lucky us, we get to relive each moment as we go through every image editing, uploading and then sharing the precious moments we’ve captured with the new couple.
Here are a few of my favorite from Amanda and Bryan’s wedding day…
